Ronald Greene vs. PAWS: A Farmer’s Fight for Justice

Ottawa-area beef farmer Ronald Greene saw his farm raided by PAWS, a provincial agency born of overbroad and poorly defined legislation. The raid, marked by confusion and haste, resulted in one of his cattle being trampled to death.  After this debacle, authorities relied on a conveniently timed and unproven allegation that Greene had uttered threats—an accusation that led to his arrest and detention without any conviction.

When Municipal and Provincial officials Cross the Line, C.R.O.W.N. Stands Up

Protecting Consent, Rights, and Essential Services Across Ontario

C.R.O.W.N. Ontario responds to urgent and growing concerns across Ontario where municipalities have:

  • Threatened residents with water shutoffs for declining wireless meters

  • Imposed devices without free, prior, and informed consent

  • Dismissed legitimate health, privacy, and property concerns

  • Targeted vulnerable individuals—elderly, low-income, disabled—with disproportionate harm

C.R.O.W.N. Ontario unites individuals and families facing these injustices directly, and invites all Ontarians of conscience to stand with us. Together, we work to uphold what is just and lawful through:

  • Public education

  • Grassroots organizing

  • Legal action

  • Peaceful civil engagement

We reject any system that conditions access to basic necessities on the surrender of sacred rights. In the spirit of truth and justice, and in humble recognition of the divine source of all human dignity, we stand for water, freedom, and natural rights for all.

Organize and Amplify Your Advocacy

Practical Steps to Make Your Voice Heard and Your Rights Defended

Start by organizing your advocacy with a clear action plan: draft a petition to raise awareness and gather support, prepare and send a Notice of Liability (NOL), follow up with letters to local officials and media, and coordinate outreach to allies, councillors, and MPPs. Prioritize building a local support group, documenting your case, and keeping detailed records of all communications and responses.

What Other Ontarians Says

Hear how fellow Ontarians are standing up, navigating the system, and reclaiming their rights—starting with Isabelle’s story

Representing Myself Was an Act of Sovereignty.

Choosing legal self-representation allowed me to stand fully in my own power. I'm learning how to navigate the court system (despite being difficult to access). By walking this path, I raised awareness and now share my lived experience with others facing similar issues—so they can act faster, more confidently, and know they’re not alone.
